September 7, 2000 A popular and widely respected arcade Website, Amusement Graffiti, has recently changed the listing for the hardware for Namco's upcoming Soul Calibur 2 arcade game from Naomi to System 246. This switch from Sega's Dreamcast-like arcade board to Sony's PS2-based board would suggest that a PlayStation 2 version of the game may be in the works. If this proves to be true, it would mean that Sony's upcoming 128-bit system might be home to the highly-anticipated follow-up to what is often considered the very best game available on Dreamcast and is viewed by some as the best 3D fighting game ever created. |
